When enacted, travelers to and from a foreign country (including the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada) must have a valid passport or other secure, accepted document* to enter or re-enter the U.S. The revised proposed timeline is as follows: January 8, 2007 – Valid passport or other accepted document* required for all air travel to or from the U.S. June 1, 2009 – Valid passport or other accepted document* required for all travel to or from the U.S. (air, sea or land) Although the requirement to possess a valid passport for sea and land border crossings has been extended to June 1, 2009, the government can accelerate this date based on meeting certain criteria.

| Discover Croatia 10/19/2006 5:18:08 PM Link 0 comments | Add comment Croatia-a country that was part of Yugoslavia until 1991-is one of Europe's hottest new travel destinations. For much of the last 3,000 years foreign powers dominated it, tyrants ruled it, and wars were fought over it. But its tumultuous past is now history and what has emerged today is a fascinating, beautiful, peaceful destination, rich in Stone Age settlements, Greek and Roman antiquities and medieval towns and castles. With its breathtaking sun-drenched coastlines, beautiful natural wonders, and bustling growing cities; Croatia is the perfect destination for you to travel to.
Due to its rough and tumble history, Croatia has been off limits and mysterious for centuries and today bears a mosaic of cultural influences, including Roman, Greek, Venetian, Hungarian and Turkish. Yet the Croats' fiercely proud, independent spirit has preserved a wonderfully unique Croatian culture - rich in cuisine, art, music and architecture, and waiting to be discovered by you. Its unusual geographic shape offers many different landscapes, from majestic mountains and stunning waterfalls, to one of Europe's most beautiful coastlines with over 1000 islands.
Croatian highlights, include the 1,000-mile long Dalmatian Coast on the Adriatic Sea and the coastal city of Split, a gorgeous resort where the 4th century Roman Emperor Diocletian built his sprawling summer palace. Dubrovnik is one of the world's most beautiful medieval cities. On a sunny day the capital, Zagreb pulses with energy as modern Zagrebians mix side-by-side with old-world ladies wearing babushkas in colorful outdoor markets, sidewalk cafes and busy cobblestone streets.
